WHERE I STARTED
As a child, when I was asked what I “wanted to be” when I grew up I always answered “an artist”, but I just hadn’t yet found my medium. I tried painting, I tried drawing, but the day I walked into a Cosmetology classroom everything changed. I watched students practicing different looks on one another, unbound by the rules of a conventional classroom, expressing themselves in any way that they wanted.
I thought to myself, “This looks like way too much fun to be school”.
Being a dreamer, I didn’t picture myself behind the chair in my hometown. Born and raised in Upstate New York, the opportunities for growth felt limited. I would daydream about working on movie sets and dressing up clients to attend lavish events in New York City. I was lucky enough to have amazing family members living on Long Island willing to open their home to me and support my dream. Years later, as I drive into Manhattan to meet clients I have to pinch myself.
This is it. This is the dream.
IT'S REALLY ABOUT YOU
One of the most fulfilling parts of this career is watching clients look in the mirror at their finished look and being able to tell, even without words, that they feel beautiful. Hairstyling is a luxury service, not only do I want you to leave feeling confident but my goal is to understand your vision or help you create one based on your likes, dislikes, and how you feel most comfortable.
